Who we are

Bet Club is operated at communitybet.co.uk. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Contact us any time at hello@communitybet.co.uk.

What we collect

• Group information — the group name and its share code.
• Member information — the display name you choose. If you create an account you also provide a username and a six-digit PIN; the PIN is stored only as a secure hash and we never see it. We do not require your email address or real name.
• Activity in the app — weekly picks, odds, bet outcomes, the weekly amount your group agrees, and payment confirmations you submit.
• Uploads — screenshots of bet slips you choose to upload. These are stored privately and are only viewable through short-lived links generated for members of your group. Please avoid uploading images containing bookmaker account numbers or payment details.
• Local storage on your device — which group member you are, so you don't have to identify yourself on every visit.

How we use it

Only to run the app: showing your group's picks, results, statistics and payment status, and keeping your account working. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.

Who can see your data

Anyone holding your group's code can see that group's picks, results and payment status — that is the point of the app, so only share the code with people you want in the group. Each group is separate: members of one group cannot see another group's data.

Cookies and advertising

We use essential local storage to keep you signed in and identified within a group.

This site is funded by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. We also use Google Analytics, where enabled, to understand aggregate usage such as which pages are visited. IP addresses are anonymised.

Service providers

Data is hosted on our behalf by our hosting and database providers, who process it only to deliver the service. Advertising is served by Google.

Retention and deletion

We keep group history for as long as the group is in use, because past results are the product. You can ask us to delete your member record, your uploads or an entire group at any time by emailing hello@communitybet.co.uk. We will action reasonable requests within 30 days.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EU you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Email us and we'll help.

Children

The app is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes we'll update the date at the top of this page.
